PROBLEM

The case problem involves developing a gender-neutral and race-neutral mascot for a language-learning app aimed at children. The objective is to create a universally appealing character that enhances user engagement, fosters inclusivity, and serves as an effective child learning assistant throughout the app.

The design phase involved collaborating with artists, child psychologists, and educators to create the ideal appearance for eKidz Robot. I have experimented with various color palettes, shapes, and expressions to ensure the character was both engaging and comforting. Through iterative design processes, they fine-tuned eKidz Robot features to make it universally appealing.

Our first objective of the mascot was to appeal to a diverse global audience. The team meticulously researched cultural norms, symbols, and preferences worldwide to avoid any unintentional cultural insensitivity. eKidz Robot`s color scheme and expressions were carefully chosen to resonate with children from different cultural backgrounds, fostering a sense of familiarity and acceptance.

eKidz Robot`s role extended beyond marketing communications. The team integrated it into the app's core functionality as a child learning assistant. eKidz Robot appeared throughout the app, guiding children through lessons, offering encouragement, and celebrating their achievements. Its interactive nature allowed for a personalized learning experience, tailoring its responses to individual progress and providing real-time feedback.

RESULTS AND IMPACT

The introduction of eKidz Robot proved to be a resounding success for the language-learning app. Its become a universally beloved mascot, resonating with children across the globe. The mascot's warm and approachable demeanor built trust with young learners, creating an environment where children felt comfortable experimenting with new languages. As a result, engagement and retention rates soared.
